Melissa Brois

     While Melissa was born in Denver, Colorado, she is truly a local resident with deep roots and knowledge of our local communities. She graduated from Wootton High School in Montgomery, County and never ventured that far from home when she went off to attend college at the University of Maryland. Melissa is married and the proud mother of two wonderful daughters. 

    Melissa’s broad experience in the various aspects of the real industry enable her to uniquely and competently guide buyers and sellers through the complicated world of real estate. The key reason, however,  to have Melissa be your guide through the real estate maze is because she cares about people – people like you. 

    Melissa has over thirty years of experience in the real estate industry and has been a licensed real estate agent in Maryland for the past 18 years! Melissa has gained a considerable depth of experience regarding building, marketing, financing and selling of real estate in wide range of real estate industry professions. Melissa started her career working as an administrative assistant in real estate office. Since that initial exposure to the industry she has built upon that foundation by adding in depth knowledge and real-world experience as a result of working in a myriad of related real estate activities. 

Experience working as a Mortgage Loan Office & Processor for five (5) years has given her a unique perspective on the financial choices and challenges buyers face when considering a home purchase. Even today, Melissa continues to stay up to date on current financing options. 

    Six (6) years of experience working with builders as a new home sales representative has given her an understanding of home construction and sales from the ground up. Melissa worked for prominent local builders such as Ryan, NVR and Masonry Homes. She was the Community Sales Manager on projects as diverse as custom homes on 3-acre home sites to affordable townhouse communities and condos. Melissa received numerous awards from those builders for her sales volume and superior customer service. 

    For many years she served as the Vice President of Marketing and Realtor Relations for a well-respected home inspection company where, among her other duties, she wrote and taught several educational seminars for Realtors. She gained additional experience by working in a real estate office as a transaction coordinator and running back office activities of marketing and coordination of client needs. 

    Having previously worked as an agent for one of the large multi-office real estate companies, Melissa choose to continue her career in real estate sales and work directly with one of the very experienced and successful brokers whom she has known and worked with for many years. By partnering with her broker, she can now access unlimited resources to find the answers to her client’s specific questions or needs and use impressive marketing capabilities to get properties sold in ‘good’ markets or ‘bad’ markets. 

    Melissa is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors, the Maryland Association of Realtors, and the Metropolitan Regional Information Systems – Multiple Listing Service.  She can keep you apprised about market values in your area, current interest rates and financing options.
